100-year-old couple Walter and Leslie Kimmel celebrate 75th wedding anniversary
Here's a nice story for August, Romance Awareness Month. A 100-year-old couple celebrated their 75th wedding anniversary in a Catonsville, Maryland retirement community, reported the Associated Press on August 18. Walter and Leslie Kimmel were married on August 18, 1940. They met at church when they were both 22. She was an organist and he sang in the choir. The couple had two children, four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. The centenarians live in Charlestown Retirement Community.
